Articles and Stories Room

I love to write. I write with a passion. When I have an idea for an Article or Short Story I can't rest until the idea or, at best, the story is on paper (or on my computer, most likely).

A line will come to me, or perhaps an opening image, and from that a structure will flow- the contours of a mood, the path of an argument- and all I have to do is follow the marking-posts and the piece practically writes itself.

The following are a handfu l of Articles and Stories I have written- some published, some unpublished, some looking for a new home. Peruse them at your leisure.

The Stories are all chapters in progress fro m my book on the Chautauqua Institution, a summer retreat in Western New York. (All tales are true and they are NOT for distribution!)

Please offer your response in the Comment Book and read it once it becomes available.
