Join me as I surf through my day!

Why list my favorite Web sites as if they were no more than a laundry list that needed filling. I figured I could add some drama to the presentation and make them a tad more intriguing.

The scene is a bedroom in a tiny apartment. I am seen alone in my loft bed as the sun begins to filter through the multicolored curtains, giving texture and tone to the room. The alarm buzzes as the curtain opens.

Looks like the sun is rising on a new day here in the East Village in New York City. Were the curtains aside I could see the day's Weather, but as for now I'll just have to play it by ear.

I push aside the writings of my hometown hero, Walt Whitman, and roll over to my door to pick up the New York Times, which has fallen through the slot. I read the latest figures from the Census Department then get really pissed at the next piece of America eroded by the incursion of the radical right into Congress. In response I immediately write to my Senator and Representative. I cool out by reading the latest update on the Spanish Theme Park being designed by Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, and Laurie Anderson.

I cross the street to enter the Cafe to have some herbal tea (no caffeine for me please!), but not before passing drug addicts, businessmen, drag queens, college students, and other sorts of multiethnic bohemians with assorted body-piercings.

After my tea I saunter upstairs to the Art Gallery above. While there, I go on-line to check out some electronic museums. I stop first at the American Memory site of the Library of Congress and then explore the National Archives. Our tax dollars well spent!

Back on the street a squatter kid asks me for a condom. "Sure," I say, handing him one. I always encourage Safe Sex.

Ah, look. There's my buddy David Heller. We're meeting to go spend the day hanging out in Central Park.

"Where you been, Dave?"

"Just exploring my Geneology," he replies.

"Wow! Cool!" I say.

"I need you for a project for my web designing company, Indigo Internet Communications. Are you ready?"

"You Betcha!"

"There will always be time for the net. For now, let's go join our friends and have some fun in the park."

We get on the subway and head up to the park.

We get on the Subway and head up to the park.

We get on the subway and head up to the... Oh, I guess there's no web site for nature. Why don't you leave your computer and come join us.

Look for us under the big oak tree in the field.
